General Charter

The African Queen is available for half day, full day, weekend or weekly charter. The African Queen has a licence for a maximum of 12 passengers plus 2 crew. We also have a Work Boat licence that will allow us to take commercial work party's to sea for any purpose.

The African Queen is an ideal choice for Picnic Parties, Family Pleasure Trips, Children's birthday party's, Fishing, Business Outings, Bird Watching, Diving, Discreet weekends, Coastal and River Cruises or a day out with friends. Alan & Hilary will do their best to organise a trip or cruise to suit your requirements. Onboard the African Queen, the possibilities are endless

Picnics/Cruises

The African Queen is an ideal choice for picnic parties, taken on board, up river, out to sea, or cruise along the South Devon coast to find a little secluded cove, anchor offshore to enjoy the unspoilt peace of these areas that are difficult to reach from land. Picnic or Buffet menu's can be arranged to your choice by prior agreement.

Bird watching Trips

Enjoy the many and varied birds that live and thrive on and around the cliffs and waters of the South Devon Coastline, the African Queen can take you to many viewpoints not accessible from the land. Watch the power of the Gannets as they plummet into the sea at breakneck speeds hunting their prey, the comical Fulmars as they run across the water, Guillemots, Gulls, Cormorants, Kittiwakes and many more.

Family pleasure trips

Up river, Down river, Out to sea, the choice is yours, give the kids some fun and a gentle introduction to life on the Ocean wave and all the wonders that go with it. We can tailor fun trips to your requirements, one or two hour evening trips can be arranged, or all day. Kids birthday party's have been a great success. Coastal & River Cruises

Film Work

The African Queen has a Work Boat Certificate and can be chartered for film work at sea, along the coast, or for projects within Dartmouth Harbour. In the past we have been used for local News programs, promotional film jobs, and several popular television shows. We are a large stable platform, perfect for the job in hand. Please note: our Insurance policy will not cover you for loss of filming equipment, you must ensure separate cover yourselves.

Ashes To Sea Services

We are often asked to carry a loved ones remains to sea for a final family goodbye. This is the sort of charter that can be undertaken in a short time, and our pricing policy reflects this. We are always willing to talk to the family as regards somebody's last wishes and are happy to accommodate. Please phone and we can discuss your requirements with you.
